The final stage in an excellent week came yesterday with payment into our bank of a full refund (less $200) yesterday, just a week after our NCAT hearing last week with regard to our refund request from our travel company for a September 2020 tour of Romania and Bulgaria. We initially accepted their offer of a credit for future travel but things changed in May this year when, completely out of the blue, my husband was found to be in critical need of heart surgery. That was a wake-up call to reconsider future travel plans and we submitted a claim for a refund on the grounds of our ages and future health issues. When that claim was rejected we contacted Adam Glezer and, with his advice and encouragement, we went to NCAT. The initial hearing - in which Adam spoke for us - brought no resolution so we proceeded to a full hearing this week (with Adam on hand to speak again)and the satisfactory outcome of a full refund as this time our health claim was quite promptly accepted.

I was supposed to have the holiday of a lifetime with my wife then covid hit and the world came to a screaming halt. It was time to get my money back. A quick email and all would be sweet, I wish it was that simple. I contacted the travel company and was passed from pillar to post, backwards and forwards getting nowhere. I paid a large amount for this holiday and we had saved hard to get there. When it came to refund, all I got was a credit, with a 12 month expiry date which was later changed to 3 years. I had payed cash, and I wanted cash refunded, I didn't know when I was going to be able to travel again, I just wanted my money back. They weren't budging and I kept hitting a brick wall at every turn . I am so happy to report a win for me by Adam Glezer, bless you! Adam became my white knight after my bad experience with Discover Australia and my failed attempts to secure a refund from them after almost 20 months. My funds were returned yesterday after Adam persisted as my advocate over several weeks. Until I engaged Adam, I was placed in the position of having no option but to rebook a second time with the agent. After experiencing the grueling process of what Adam went through in dealing with Discover Australia, I discovered how unfair, unreasonable and deceitful travel agents can be, especially when I was asked to provide "extenuating circumstances" as a reason for requesting the refund of a full payment made in Feb. 2020. Checking the T&C's carefully beforehand in 2020 did me no good whatsoever as MY booking T&Cs carried no weight when the T &Cs were changed in 2021 yet still applied to me retrospectively! Even NT Consumer Affairs could not help after acknowledging my initial contract and request was sound. Adam never once gave up in pursuing my case while all the time keeping me buoyed up with his friendly, understanding and encouragement. Please tell at least one other person about the invaluable service Adam is providing. The exhausting work he undertakes on behalf of each of his clients reduces stress, frustration and helps desperate customers of the travel industry to get their money back from those agents who deceive, lie and deliberately employ every tactic in their arsenal to avoid acting in the customer's best interests. Here is a good news story for 2022. I have been owed in excess of $8,000 from an airline for approximately 2 years from the start of the Covid-19 outbreak. I took out travel insurance and that were useless! After numerous (dozens) of phone calls to my airline and umpteen emails to no avail, I received a pleasant surprise in my bank account the other day with the complete refund returned to me. I requested Adam Glezer's assistance approximately 3-4 weeks ago and Adam made various phone calls lasting hours to my airline, explaining my circumstances and the situation. I found the facebook group 'Travel Industry Issues - The Need for Change for Australians' when I was having trouble obtaining a refund on a cruise to Antarctica that had been paid to the cruise operator over 18 months prior. A couple of years earlier, my husband had been treated for cancer and was given the all clear, so we booked our trip. Unfortunately in March 2020, as COVID arrived, the cancer returned. After more treatment that failed to work, we were advised that his condition was no longer curable. At the same time countries around the world were heavily infected, cruise ships and airlines ceased operating and our borders closed. My husband's oncologist provided a letter of support advising that he would now be receiving palliative care. Once again the travel agent advised us that the cruise line declined our refund request and offered only a future credit. Through this forum and my request for advice, Adam contacted me and spent time advising and encouraging me to contact the travel agent one more time. That night I sent them another email, but this time I mentioned Adam's name and the support he was offering us. By 5pm the following day I had a call from the travel agent and the deposit back in my bank account. Adam was so helpful, insightful and genuine. My booking with Webjet Exclusive was part of a group booking of 8 family and friends. We paid for our travel in full; $9,500 per couple. We had emailed Webjet Exclusive and they point blank refused to provide a refund. One of the members of our booking saw on Facebook, a post by Adam, offering advice and assistance.
